The secrets of a healthy heart are hidden in these 3 kitchen items

Due to a bad lifestyle, wrong eating habits, and stressful life, people started having heart problems at an early age. According to the World Heart Federation, in the year 2023, more than 50 crore people across the world were affected by heart diseases.

In the year 2021, there were 20.5 million deaths due to heart disease. This figure is one-third of all deaths globally. In such a situation, you must take special care of your heart. It is a matter of relief that there are many herbs in Ayurveda with the help of which you can avoid these serious diseases.

Ayurveda expert Dr. Deeksha Bhavsar told us how you can keep yourself healthy by including 3 food items in your diet with a little effort.

Garlic

Garlic is considered very important in Ayurveda. It is an anti-aging herb. According to Ayurveda, garlic acts as a tonic for your heart. It boosts your heart function, improves blood circulation, and prevents cholesterol from accumulating inside the blood vessels.

Garlic contains vitamins C and B6, manganese, and selenium. It contains an important chemical called allicin. Allicin is a type of antioxidant, which is very important.

How to consume it: To keep your heart healthy, you should include garlic in your diet regularly. For this, crush 1 clove of garlic and consume it on an empty stomach. You can eat it once a day before meals for 8 to 12 weeks.

Pomegranate

According to Ayurveda, pomegranate is one of the most beneficial fruits for heart health. By consuming it, the level of triglycerides and LDL i.e. bad cholesterol reduces significantly while the level of HDL increases significantly.

HDL is good cholesterol, which is beneficial for the body. It protects you from the heart as well as many other diseases.

How to consume it: Consume 1 pomegranate daily as breakfast. If you do not want to eat pomegranate every day, then consume it at least 2 to 3 times a week.

Arjuna Bark Tea

Arjuna bark is considered to be the best cardio-tonic among all the herbs of Ayurveda. Its cooling nature, astringent taste, and easy-to-digest properties protect you from Kapha and Pitta doshas.

Apart from protecting you from many other diseases, it also makes your skin healthy. Its consumption helps in reducing cholesterol, due to which your heart remains healthy. Arjun bark controls both your blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

How to consume: Take 100 ml water and 100 ml milk, add 5 grams of Arjuna bark powder, and boil until it reduces to half. Filter it and drink it at bedtime or in the morning and evening, one hour before meals.
